The Music They Made
Isaac Hayes, Bo Diddley and Mitch Mitchell are among the bad mofos we lost along the way in 2008, a particularly tough year for drummers. As tribute The New York Times has put together The Music They Madea moving musical montage that's well worth a look and listen.
A lifelong scribbler of short stories, lyrics and grocery lists, since 1998 Spyder has been reporting on the New York City music and cultural scene for the New York Waste, NYRock.com and U.K. based Soundcheck-magazine.com. When not out on the town or in front of the computer, Spyder can be found playing bass for several local NYC rock bands, including glam punk rock'n rollers Detox Darlings which he founded in 1996 with his wife the ever effervescent JetSet Jenna.
